60-Second Recap: Out for Justice

November 13th, 2007 by Michael Ferraro

For the first entry of a hope-to-be new segment, we chose to highlight a 1991 action classic - John Flynn’s Out for Justice. Screenwriter David Lee Henry (Road House) supplied us with the only some-what watchable Steven Seagal flick outside Under Siege. Seagal plays Gino Felino, a Brooklyn detective hunting down Richie (William Forsythe), the man who killed Bobby Lupo, his partner. The actual William Forsythe makes a special guest appearance to help us discover the truth behind Lupo’s murder.

Next level shit right there. My favorite William Forsythe film is Extreme Predjuice with Nolte and Powers Boothe as “Cash Baily” directed by Walter Hill and written by John Milius.

That’s fuckin’ classic! Nice work! I actually knew a kid in 2nd grade named Bobby Lupo… he pissed his pants one day and the nurse gave him a huge pair of aqua green shorts from lost and found to wear for the rest of the day… but that has nothing to do with any of this…
